Hi everyone! I passed the COC exam! I am so grateful that I discovered Mrs. Ortega and MCA. This is my second certification under Mrs. Ortega's instruction this year. I took the MCA online courses for both the CPC and COC preparation. Honestly, she has been an unexpected blessing in my life this year. Medical coding academy is awesome!! They truly set you up for success! I’m so proud to say I’m CPC certified and it’s all thanks to Mrs. Ortega and her team. They also are very responsive whenever you have questions. They way they teach you is vital in passing your exam on the first try. I did the online courses through Medical Coding Academy and couldn’t be more pleased. This was a late in life (turning 60 this year) decision to take the course. I passed my CPC exam on the first attempt. I had previously started a different course and quickly lost interest and couldn’t get motivated to continue. Then I came across all the excellent reviews for MCA. I was skeptical at first but once I received all my books and materials, I realized this is the real deal. she is a gift to the teaching of coding. I was amazed by her skill set. She breaks it down for you in ways you never thought was possible. I left other coding Facebook groups so I wouldn't get confused. I have looked into coding for a couple years now. I searched "coding bootcamp" and Ms. Ortega came up. I wholeheartedly recommend Medical Coding Academy to anyone interested in pursuing a career in medical coding. I am someone who always researches products, services, schools and basically anything or anyone I will invest my time and money in. After I did my due diligence, I decided to enroll myself in Medical Coding Academy’s online course. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. Before the course, I had no medical coding experience. However, now I have so much knowledge and I was competently prepared to take the certification exam. Passed my exam on the FIRST TRY ! God is so good ❤️ It was not easy and took a lot of hard work, prayer, and dedication but I did it !!! I just want to say thank you so much Mrs. Ortega for being such an amazing teacher. Your passion, devotion, and kind spirits kept me uplifted and wanting to learn more. I decided to take the MCA online program due to me being a single mother of 3 and I did not want to travel due to covid. I had my 3rd baby girl February of this year and decided to enroll into Mrs. Ortega's MCA program shortly after that. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but something deep down told me I could do it. I was ready to start my new career in medical coding and make a better life for my children. I know it was nothing but God giving me that push that I needed. It was difficult getting into the motions of working, doing my school work / studying while being a mom to a newborn and 2 toddlers. It felt like it was going to be impossible to do my MCA assignments but I pushed those negative thoughts aside and decided to make a schedule. It took me a little longer to finish but on October 16th I finally took my CPC exam and within a few days I found out I passed. At first I was kind of disappointed in myself because I passed with a 73% but then I thought about everything I been through to get to this point and was just happy that I actually passed on the first try.
